Davide Marcato
I am a theoretical physicist by training, with a background in statistical mechanics and a particular interest in its interdisciplinary applications. During my PhD, I became interested in the problem of phase separation and self-assembly, and in the role these processes play in the organization of living cells. I am now focusing on different aspects of liquid - liquid phase separation, mainly from a theoretical standpoint. More broadly, I am interested in applying ideas and methods from statistical physics to problems at the interface of physics, biology, and soft matter
